Leading Indian retailer Future Group will implement the hybris Commerce Suite to provide support for its multi-channel retail operations, covering both physical and digital touchpoints such as stores, its human-assisted digital commerce network Big Bazaar Direct, e-commerce sites, catalogue/phone order operations, and mobile device.
Speaking about the choice of hybris, Kishore Biyani, group CEO, Future Group, said; “hybris has successfully developed omni-channel capabilities for leading retailers across the world. With its modern architecture and modular approach, hybris will transform the way we are able to leverage our omni-channel retail model across all our brands and businesses.”
The project will be conducted over the next 18 months. Rakesh Biyani, joint manager director of Future Retail, reportedly told a press conference that by moving to the omni-channel platform, revenues are expected to be enhanced by 6-9 per cent over the next two years.
Eric Toon, hybris country manager, South East Asia and India, said, “India is a key global market and we are delighted that a major retailer in this region such as Future Group has seen how the hybris approach to commerce can transform the way they sell and interact with their customers.”
Future Group includes the 168-store hypermarket chain Big Bazaar, along with department stores, gourmet food markets, sportswear, convenience stores and a rural distribution network.
