Roca Group, a global leader in bathroom fixtures and design, is embracing a new era of digital transformation by migrating to SAP S/4HANA. This strategic move aims to integrate and standardize its IT systems, paving the way for enhanced operational efficiency and real-time, data-driven decision-making.

Founded over a century ago, Roca Group has established itself as a major player in the sanitary industry with a presence in 170 markets and a workforce of over 21,500 employees across nearly 80 factories worldwide. Throughout its history, the family-owned business has continuously adapted to stay relevant in a competitive market. In recent years, Roca has also prioritized digitalization, recognizing it as a crucial factor for maintaining its market position.

The company’s extensive history of acquisitions necessitated a cohesive IT strategy, which led it to select RISE with SAP. This comprehensive solution is designed to consolidate diverse IT systems into a unified landscape, thereby streamlining operations. By opting for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Roca aims to significantly boost efficiency and leverage real-time analytics for informed business decisions.

Albert Magrans, CEO of Roca Group, emphasizes the company’s commitment to a forward-looking strategy underpinned by innovation, technology, and sustainability. He also highlights that transitioning to SAP S/4HANA will enable Roca to utilize the latest technological advancements, thereby accelerating its digital transformation. Additionally, the move promises to enhance execution speed and functionality, particularly with the introduction of the Joule copilot, which offers real-time analytics and other innovations from SAP and its ecosystem.

Enhancing Business Processes with SAP Solutions

The collaboration between Roca Group and SAP is not new; it is a relationship built on trust and shared goals. According to Manos Raptopoulos, Vice President of SAP Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Roca’s IT strategy is deeply intertwined with its business transformation objectives. SAP’s solutions are central to this strategy, ensuring that Roca’s digital transformation is seamless and integrated.

By adopting SAP S/4HANA Cloud along with other SAP cloud solutions like SAP Customer Experience, SAP Ariba, and SAP SuccessFactors, Roca Group aims to leverage a comprehensive suite of tools that will enhance customer interactions and uncover new business opportunities. This integrated approach will also provide a single platform for managing production centers and logistics operations. Additionally, utilizing SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain will optimize demand and production planning, while SAP Transportation Management will streamline transport management. In addition, the implementation of these solutions has already resulted in a 10% increase in the cubic capacity of transports, demonstrating tangible benefits.

Roca’s plans extend beyond operational efficiencies. The company intends to use SAP SuccessFactors to improve its learning programs, manage global payroll, and enhance the employee self-service portal. This will be complemented by SAP Concur solutions, which will streamline travel expense management. These initiatives reflect Roca’s holistic approach to digital transformation, ensuring that both operational processes and employee experiences are enhanced through SAP’s advanced technological solutions.

Embracing Change by Migrating to SAP S/4HANA

As Roca Group continues its journey with SAP, the focus remains on harnessing the full potential of SAP’s integrated solutions. The adoption of a clean core approach will ensure that Roca’s IT landscape remains streamlined and efficient, providing a solid foundation for future growth and innovation.

The decision to migrate to SAP S/4HANA is a testament to Roca’s commitment to maintaining its competitive edge through technological advancement. By integrating and standardizing its IT systems, Roca is not only improving operational efficiency but also positioning itself to better respond to market demands and opportunities.
