SAP’s customer base for its Hybris Cloud for Customer (C4C) has grown 73 per cent year-over-year between the second quarter of 2015 and the same period in 2016, with the company signing its 1000th customer for the solution.

SAP attributes the success of Hybris C4C to its ability to bring together sales, customer service and social CRM in a holistic solution to provide end customers with more personalised engagements.

“The customer journey is more complex than it has ever been — it doesn’t end when a customer hangs up the phone, walks out the door, or checks out online,” said Jamie Anderson, senior vice president and chief marketing officer, SAP Hybris.

“Legacy cloud CRM solutions simply cannot account for the influx in data or meet modern customer expectations. So it doesn’t matter if you are running a small or large business, the need for an enterprise-scale simplifier for this complicated, end-to-end business process is the same.”

Among the recently signed customers for C4C are US-based food safety and security provider Sealed Air Corp, Denmark-based construction company Møller & Co., and Vestas Wind Systems, also based in Denmark. As a company that builds, sells and maintains turbines for utility companies to use wind power, Vestas is using C4C to better understand customer requirements, increase its spare parts business, achieve a higher closing rate for service contract renewals and improve customer response times.
