Kyndryl’s cloud operations capabilities further strengthen with its recent SAP certifications and multi-cloud alliances.

This month, Kyndryl, a leading infrastructure modernisation business, officially spun off from IBM and began trading in the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker “KD”– with IBM retaining 19.9 percent of the shares of Kyndryl common stock. The business strategy of separating their managed infrastructure services business to Kyndryl is a major step to deepening the company’s focus on hybrid cloud and AI as well as on technology and consulting in pursuit of achieving its growth objectives according to IBM chairman and Chief Executive Officer Arvind Krishna.

Following the announcement of becoming an independent company, Kyndryl has expanded its cloud capabilities and commitment to delivering SAP services with its recent SAP certification for global cloud and infrastructure operations. With offices in 60 countries including Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, Kyndryl strengthens its market presence as an SAP Global Partner that provides best-in-class SAP managed services to customers worldwide.

Boosting SAP Cloud Operations Capabilities

Commenting about being an SAP-certified partner, Nicolas Sekkaki, General Manager, Applications Data & AI at Kyndryl, said:

“SAP certifications show our commitment to investing in our partnership and success for our mutual customers. This also helps Kyndryl provide quality SAP services and focus on continuous innovation at scale for our customers.”

The New York-headquartered company’s SAP certifications include:

  • Global SAP HANA operations
  • Global hosting operations
  • Global SAP S/4HANA solutions operations
  • Global SAP Business Suite solutions operations
  • Global SAP SuccessFactors solutions operations
  • Global DevOps

How SAP Certification Benefits MSPs and the SAP Ecosystem

Kyndryl provides end-to-end services to SAP solutions, which includes managing SAP operations on cloud and on-premise; migration to SAP S/4HANA; project management, and cyber resilience strategy for SAP solutions on public Cloud. Receiving these recent SAP certifications reinforced Kyndryl’s decades of extensive SAP experience– which includes managing hundreds of enterprises leveraging SAP solutions on on-premises and public cloud platforms– and expanded the company’s market visibility and revenue source.

SAP offers several certifications based on the partner’s service portfolio that, essentially, boosts the SAP customers’ confidence in their chosen MSPs to help them migrate, navigate, and maintain their SAP landscapes and mission-critical applications. SAP outsourcing operations partners like Kyndryl undergo an on-site audit at the partner location and receive the right to use the appropriate SAP certification logo for two years after a successful audit session.

SAP partners can be granted certifications of various services types like hosting operations, business process outsourcing (BPO) operations, and those given to Kyndryl such as solutions operations, SAP HANA operations, cloud and infrastructure operations, and DevOps.

Bolstering its multi-cloud capabilities and accelerating modernisation, the managed services provider also forged an allegiance with virtualisation and cloud-computing software vendor VMware, which also spun off from Dell Technologies this month. Like Kyndryl, VMware has been an SAP partner since 2007 helping customers seamlessly utilise Hybrid Cloud and Hyper-Converged Architecture.

Under the expanded Kyndryl-VMware partnership, the two enterprises will focus on multi-cloud services and create a Joint Innovation Lab centred on app modernisation and security with VMware Tanzu.
