SAP and Palantir Technologies have signed a global reseller agreement for SAP to resell Palantir’s platform as the SAP Intelligence Analysis for Public Sector application by Palantir, which will help public safety agencies to upgrade their intelligence management capabilities to better anticipate security threats.
Providing officials with improved access to information so that they can make better decisions and act faster, the solution will also help public safety and security agencies and state and local governments drive better preparedness and prevention, enhance service delivery and responsiveness, and improve safety and security outcomes.
SAP and Palantir said the solution strengthens the ability of those agencies to address a broad range of functions, including border protection, cyber security, fraud management, disaster response, money laundering and pandemic tracking.
Sean O’Brien, vice president, public safety and security, SAP, said the integrated offering would allow it to address end-to-end intelligence processes for public sector customers.
“It will allow us to speed innovation for our customers, helping them to improve processes that can lead to increased intelligence and security, helping make communities safer,” O’Brien said.
The new solution integrates with SAP BusinessObjects Text Analysis software, allowing intelligence analysts and investigators to integrate structured and unstructured data across classification and security levels, perform advanced search and discovery, leverage enterprise-wise knowledge management, and create intra- and inter-agency agency collaboration within a secure environment.
“With our next-generation platform, users can integrate and work with any kind of data at any scale while enforcing robust privacy and civil liberties protections,” said Dr Alexander Karp, co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies. “Because it is a fully productised solution, the cost and time required for implementation is significantly less than a custom-built solution.”
