According to new research by the UK and Ireland SAP User Group, overall SAP users are still positive about using cloud computing and software-as-a-service.
While many believe there is too much hype about the cloud, there is still real interest in the technology, with 80 per cent planning a mix of on-demand, on-promise and on-device services in the future. This represents a significant increase on last year, when only 60 per cent were considering installing a hybrid model.
However, the research also revealed some confusion about the way forward – 58 per cent of users said they lacked clarity over SAP’s cloud roap map, while 59 per cent didn’t understand how to integrate SAP on-demand modules with their existing implementations.
