In a couple of quick-succession moves, Deloitte has taken major steps to expand its end-to-end cloud offerings through both collaboration and investment aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of its clients.
Deloitte is collaborating with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to speed its clients toward digital transformation and powerful insights-based outcomes using SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, and the SAP HANA platform.
The collaboration with AWS will see Deloitte expand its cloud capabilities globally by forming an AWS cloud practice with 2500 practitioners in an effort to help organisations change the way they work across the entire enterprise, including SAP, analytics solutions, and both front and back-office systems.
This collaboration was announced hot on the heels of Deloitte’s purchase of the assets of Atlanta-based cloud management and automation platform provider, ATADATA. The ATAsphere platform provides fast, automated, integrated cloud migration as well as discovery, application mapping, mirroring, and migration for enterprise workloads at scale. The platform is compatible with 20 cloud infrastructures and is certified by AWS, works on Microsoft Azure, and is recommended by Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Of the ATAsphere investment, Zack Levy, Deloitte DevOps partner said: “It demonstrates the power of the global firm in utilising our overseas capabilities for the benefit of the Australian market.”
“This investment further strengths our relationship with AWS and gives Deloitte the ability to offer our clients a solution which can accelerate digital transformation through rapid and effective planning, building and operating innovative cloud solutions,” said Kevin Russo, lead partner – technology, Strategy, and Architecture.
“A key focus of our AWS collaboration is to accelerate clients’ digital core transformation through SAP S/4HANA to modernise their ERP technology and de-risk cloud migrations. Equally important is the ability to help clients lead with analytics to deliver insight based outcomes so we are also invested in building over 20 pre-configured industry-specific analytics solutions powered by SAP HANA and AWS,” said Craig Hodgetts, national managing principal, technology, Deloitte Consulting LLP.
