Australian health insurer honoured as process automation innovator

Australian not-for-profit health insurer, HCF, has been named the inaugural ‘Innovator of the Year’ for 2014 by document process automation provider ReadSoft.

HCF was one of three companies globally to receive the award, which recognises the company’s achievements in continuous improvement of its claims invoice capture and processing solution, achieved through its use of capture automation technology.

On the award win, HCF’s chief information officer, Patrick Shearman, said the company was very pleased to be recognised.

“HCF strives to be a leader in innovation for the benefit of our members and this accolade is a reaffirmation that our business practices are indeed at the forefront of our industry,” said Shearman.

Franck Volckmar, managing director of ReadSoft Oceania, said ReadSoft is delighted to support HCF’s continuous improvement of their document capture process.

“We are proud to be working with such a forward thinking organisation. We look forward to working with HCF to bring further innovative solutions to the Australian market.”
