CIBER has been awarded a global contract for SAP solutions by GPS navigation system provider, Navman.
CIBER will implement SAP financials, sales and product services, including SAP ERP and SAP Customer Relationship management (CRM).
The global implementation will cover Navman’s operations in Australia and New Zealand, amongst other centres in Asia, Europe and North America.
“CIBER was able to clearly establish its understanding of our business requirements and map these requirements with SAP Best Practice offerings,” explained Mike Henn, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Navman Wireless.
“CIBER clearly positioned themselves as the firm best suited to achieve our goals of a rapid implementation timeline, thereby allowing us to control our overall investment on this project in terms of time and money. We look forward to the completed implementation of this key strategic initiative,” he continued.
The implementation of SAP solutions will equip Navman Wireless with the ability to serve its more than 9,500 global clients.
Other benefits include continued fleet management services, including two-way messaging and integrated satellite turn-by-turn navigation solutions, worldwide for a diverse variety of end-market and fleet-size customers.
This project will standardise and streamline worldwide processes and provide real-time financial and operational information, as well as provide a framework and foundation for Navman’s future growth.
For the SAP implementation, CIBER will be providing project management, technical set up, training and implementation support.
Jay Wheeler, Senior Vice President of CIBER’s US SAP Practice said the project will help ‘ensure Navman possesses the necessary tools to execute its future growth strategies’.
“Through this project, CIBER will provide Navman with a strong ERP foundation to support global financial transactions, as well as improve and standardize business processes,” Wheeler said.
