CitiPower and Powercor, the largest electricity distributor in Victoria, has chosen to implement ReadSoft‘s Accounts Payable automation solution to improve their forecasting, reporting and management capabilities.
CitiPower and Powercor supply electricity and power services to more than one million Victorian customers. Their core business is to manage the poles, wire and equipment that delivers electricity to Melbourne’s CBD, inner suburbs and through central and Western Victoria.
This huge level of demand means that CitiPower and Powercor currently process approximately 90, 000 invoices manually a year. Along with the high cost associated with this labour-intensive process, the business also has limited forecasting, reporting and management capabilities.
CitiPower and Powercor required a solution that would reduce invoice processing time, improve monitoring and tracking of invoices and automate workflow into their existing SAP system. Electronic storage capability was also needed to help the business improve its handling and invoice enquiries.
ReadSoft was awarded the project after an evaluation of a number of vendors. ReadSoft’s accredited solution, Process Director, will allow CitiPower and Powercor to automate processes such as purchase order requisitions, master data creation and maintenance.
