Having announced its intention to form a whole-of-government ERP panel last month, the Federal Department of Finance is inviting organisations with the experience or capacity to provider ERP solutions via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model to present at a Market Day.

According to the Department’s position paper, it plans to minimise the number of ERP systems used across the Australian Public Service, by standardising business systems and processes from 85 internal service providers to six hubs. To assist in this consolidation, the Department plans to establish an ERP panel with a focus on core transactional services such as accounts payable/receivable, credit card management, ledger management and payroll administration, and ERP solutions.

The Department conducted an ERP Panel Industry Briefing on 7 July 2017, with the Market Day to be held on 26 July 2017 in Canberra. The panel is expected to be in operation by December 2017.

In addition to software, and data storage and management, members of the ERP SaaS are expected to be able to provide technical support, discovery and integration, account management with Hubs, and contract management requirements with Finance.

More information on the Market Day can be found here.
