Frog, a global design and strategy firm, has partnered with online learning platform Lynda.com to launch a specialised Design Thinking course.
The course, ‘Design Thinking: Lead Change in your Organisation’, aims to define Design Thinking and explore the problem-solving approach it offers in the context of today’s business world.
SAP uses the Design Thinking methodology extensively in its own development work and collaborations with customers.
The course, which is part of a wider content collaboration, also explores leadership skills and specific tools to build the Design Thinking mindset within organisations of all sizes in various industries.
“At frog, we apply design to the creation of new strategies, systems, and entirely new businesses,” said Turi McKinley, executive creative director, frogCamp. “Over the years I’ve seen a fundamental shift: where we once designed to change consumer behaviours, we must now design to impact both consumer behaviours and the behaviours of our client organisations. We’re excited to team up with Lynda.com and build the capabilities and processes that enable teams to transform their businesses at scale.”
The course will provide training in the specific tools and methodologies used by frog, such as mapping customer journeys, creating concepts and prototyping.
Kristin Ellison, content manager, design and art+illustration, Lynda.com, said adding training on Design Thinking was a priority as it supports many of the platform’s other courses in business, technology and creative.
Frog and Lynda.com have also launched a LinkedIn group for course participants to be able to ask questions and foster additional conversations with other students, as well as respond to specific prompts within the course.
Frog has offices in San Francisco, Seattle, Austin, New York, Boston, London, Amsterdam, Milan, Munich, Singapore and Shanghai.
