With clients looking for creative approaches to lowering the cost of ownership, accelerating benefits and preserving high quality through the implementation of SAP solutions, Deloitte believes its new global value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with SAP will help it deliver on these needs.
Under the agreement, participating Deloitte member firms will resell SAP products and product maintenance support services under a single global framework.
The range of solutions will include SAP software and SAP maintenance, industry-specific pre-configured solutions, implementation services, and application maintenance support services.
Peter Ryan, Australian national leader of Deloitte Consulting’s Enterprise Applications practice, said the new agreement enables Deloitte firms to license SAP software offerings directly to clients, enabling them to tap into the power of SAP solutions through a single supplier in one packaged transaction.
“Australian businesses are increasingly looking for a greater return from the investment they’ve made in their finance systems. This transaction boosts Deloitte Australia’s technology capability, ensuring the firm is one of the leading providers of SAP skills nationally,” said Ryan.
In Australia, Deloitte recently joined forced with SAP Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice NXG Business Solutions.
Deloitte member firms’ worldwide practices dedicated to SAP solutions now totals more than 11,000 practitioners in over 135 countries.
