Hayes Technology Group, a US-based provider of data replication software solutions for SAP environments, has been acquired by information availability software solution provider Attunity.
Hayes’ flagship product, Gold Client, enables SAP users to replicate an move large volumes of data between SAP applications and data warehouses.
Attunity said the acquisition, which was completed in December, will strengthen its position in the big data replication market, offering a broader line of solutions that enable data access, sharing and distribution across heterogenous IT platforms in enterprise data centres and cloud environments.
“Through the acquisition of Hayes, we will expand into the large SAP market as well as leverage synergies with our heterogeneous data replication, file transfer and cloud technologies, supporting both enterprise data centres and the cloud,” said Shimon Alon, chairman and CEO of Attunity.
“In particular, this acquisition brings leading expertise and technology for SAP environments, strengthening our portfolio and solidifying our offerings across all major enterprise ecosystems. It will also enable us to cross-sell and up-sell our solutions to existing customers who leverage SAP software.”
Hayes Technology Group president, CTO and founder Matthew Hayes said the acquisition offers them access to Attunity’s larger sales force and marketing team, as well as their established partners in the big data and cloud spaces.
“Considering the advancements and growth that SAP’s HANA is experiencing in the market, we believe it is an optimal time for us to combine our offering with Attunity, a recognized leader in real-time data replication and loading technology,” Hayes said.
“This is an exciting opportunity as it brings together complementary solutions and will allow us to offer a well-rounded suite of products to our cloud and big data clients. Sales and the quality support for Hayes customers will continue as usual.”
Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Attunity acquired Hayes for approximately $6.2 million in a combination of cash and Attunity shares with an earnout potential of up to $4.2 million over the next two years. Attunity expects Hayes to contribute approximately $4 million in revenues in 2014.
Hayes struck a strategic partnership with UXC Oxygen in November 2012 to deliver Gold Client Solutions to Australian and New Zealand customers.
