Infosys collaborates with SAP on retail mobile apps

Infosys has announced it is collaborating with SAP to develop mobile applications for the retail industry.

The applications are aimed at giving consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies access to sales representatives and merchandisers anytime, anywhere.

The two companies have collaborated to develop the SAP Retail Execution mobile application version 3.0, which powers the work Infosys does for CPG companies, along with their merchandisers and promotions planners.

“SAP Retail Execution helps CPG companies boost return on brand and promotion investments by increasing promotional compliance and monitoring the success of new products,” said Rajesh Murthy, global head of SAP practice, Infosys.

In addition, the app also aids sales forces by making their mobile devices data friendly and allows them to perform in-store activities like surveys, audits, order taking, promotion compliance and other functions.

According to Infosys, it will continue to cooperate with SAP on the development of future versions of SAP Retail Execution.

“Our partnership with SAP creates new opportunities for organisations to maximise the data their systems generate, which improves the speed and confidence of their decision-making,” Murthy said.
