SAP ANZ has confirmed this week that both president and managing director John Ruthven and COO Jim Fisher will leave the company.
A statement by SAP said both have resigned to “pursue opportunities outside the company”.
Ruthven had been in the top job for just 18 months. He joined SAP in January 2014, first as SVP cloud and line of business for the APJ region, and then became ANZ COO from August 2014.

SAP ANZ did not give any further reasons for the dual departures.
Stephen Moore, regional VP, head of services sales, SAP APJ will be leading the ANZ business while a replacement is sought, while Paul Marriott, COO, SAP APJ and Gina McNamara, CFO, SAP ANZ, will jointly act as the interim COO for SAP ANZ, in addition to their current responsibilities.
