SAP’s 11.0 release of its Global Trade Services (GTS) application, which is now generally available, helps companies to simplify complex business processes involved in cross-border global trade, and leverage the cost-saving benefits of foreign trade zones (FTZs) in the United States.
These capabilities include reduced or eliminated duty, fee reduction and process improvements, and native integration with back-end SAP systems helps to enable faster implementations and reduced costs.
The release also offers new screening capabilities based on SAP HANA that allows organisations to leverage performance improvements in screening business partners and transactions, with simplified setup and a new search algorithm.
SAP has also made process-specific enhancements to the areas of customs management, compliance management and preference management.
“With the 11.0 release of SAP GTS, SAP has once again demonstrated its continued commitment to lead the market in global trade management and supply chain solution,” said Kevin McCollom, GVP of SAP solutions for governance, risk and compliance. “Our latest release is providing customers flexibility and choice while opening new opportunities for trade.”
