SAP will offer three new free massive open online courses through its openSAP platform, on some of the most topical areas of the moment – S/4 HANA, big data and cloud.
The new courses are:
- SAP S/4HANA – Deep Dive: as the name suggests, this course will take a detailed look at SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA (SAP S/4 HANA), providing insight into the solution’s design, and an understanding of the solution’s business value. SAP says students will learn how to get started with S/4 HANA and have an opportunity to trial the product.
- Driving Business Results with Big Data: the course enables attendees to sharpen their ability to extract meaning from data, by, for example, finding hidden patterns and unexpected correlations. The course will provide information about use cases and SAP Rapid Deployment solutions designed to help enterprises adopt Big Data solutions.
- Transformation to Hybrid Landscapes: providing an overview of SAP cloud solutions, as well as a deep dive into what ‘hybrid’ means for integration, security and operations, to help students start their own hybrid transformation journeys.
As an open online learning platform, openSAP provides access to all learning materials accessible from any device so users can undertake courses at their own pace. Courses include weekly assignments, discussion forums and final exams.
SAP reports high levels of completion of courses offered via openSAP: where the usual completion rate of academic MOOCs is around 6 per cent, openSAP has seen a 25-30 per cent completion rate. Around 45,000 users have registered to learn about SAP S/4 HANA to date.
