Enterprise-class financial software provider and SAP Partner, BlackLine Systems, has promoted two key executives to strengthen its presence in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Asia-Pacific.
James Peutherer has been appointed as director of sales for Asia-Pacific, based in Sydney. He joined BlackLine Systems five years ago and was initially responsible for developing the company’s business in the Northeast region of the United States before he relocated to Sydney a year later.
Prior to BlackLine, Peutherer worked at Pinnacle Group Worldwide, where he focused on enterprise-wide business performance management and business intelligence solutions.
Ann Furlong has been appointed as director of operations for Asia-Pacific based in Melbourne. She joined BlackLine Systems in 2011, previously working at BlackLine client Tabcorp Holdings, where she was responsible for implementing the BlackLine application across the organisation.
Both executives have more than 15 years’ of experience in the IT industry and were previously focused on the execution of BlackLine Systems’ regional sales, operations and business development in Australia and New Zealand.
In addition to growing the client base directly, Peutherer and Furlong will immediately focus on building out a local team to propel the company’s ANZ sales, marketing and operations efforts in support of partners.

BlackLine Systems has more than 12,000 users across Asia-Pacific with more than 5,000 users in Australia and New Zealand, including, Boral, Bunnings, Coles, CSL, Downer EDI, Evolution Mining, Kimberly-Clark, Linfox, Optus, Tabcorp, Qantas, QBE Australia and Wesley Mission.
