On the Move: Former SAP executive joins Anaplan

Anthony Reynolds, former global head of technology partners and business development at SAP, has been appointed as executive vice president of operations by cloud-based planning applications provider Anaplan.

Reynolds will oversee Anaplan’s growth operations including customer services and support, partnerships, and accelerated application strategy.

At SAP, Reynolds held multiple positions leading the Enterprise Performance Management, Business Intelligence and Mobile divisions, and previously worked at BusinessObjects.

On the appointment, Fred Laluyaux, president and CEO, Anaplan, said, “Anthony has developed an expertise in leading large, cross-functional teams across multiple geographies. I had the pleasure of working with him at BusinessObjects and SAP, and I am honoured to work alongside him again. Anthony will be a strategic asset to Anaplan as we head into 2015 – another year of tremendous growth and maturity for the company.”

In the past year, Anaplan has hired hundreds of new employees and expanded operations to Malaysia, Russia, and Australia. The company also recently hired Apple executive Marc Stoll as CFO.

Anaplan offers planning applications in the cloud for sales, operations, finance and HR, and has recently launched its App Hub to expand its applications offerings.

“The growing scope of Anaplan’s platform and long-term vision is inspiring,” Reynolds said. “I’m thrilled to join a company with such huge potential to change the way enterprises collaboratively build and manage business planning applications.”
