Plaut Australia has appointed former government program director Andrew Simmons as HANA practice lead, to drive growth in its S/4HANA and HANA database business.
Simmons has joined Plaut from the NSW Department of Education, where he was technical program director, responsible for the coordination and management of all aspects of the technical stream and technical budget.
Up until January 2016, Simmons was HANA program manager for the Department of Human Services, involved in the implementation of its S/4HANA program. He has previously held senior roles with Transport for NSW.
On the appointment, Sebastian Moore, CEO, Plaut, said, “Plaut has been building its practice, leveraging its deep SAP advisory skills to support its customers. Andrew joining us is a coup for Plaut and enhances our existing team of skilled HANA staff. With Andrew’s appointment we continue to build up functional skills to support clients on their path to S4/HANA, cementing Plaut’s position as a key player in this field.”
Bringing more than 20 years’ experience in business transformation and change management to the role, Simmons will work with Plaut’s Advisory team to expand its current footprint in the marketplace.
“It is an exciting period in SAP history as new opportunities arise for customers as a result of the capabilities delivered by SAP S/4HAHA and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the HANA Practice for Plaut,” said Simmons.
