On the Move: Presence of IT appoints Shane Grobler to strategic role

By Eleanor Reader

Presence of IT has announced the appointment of Shane Grobler as director, business transformation and strategy.

Grobler will become a member of the senior management team, with overall responsibility for developing and implementing a business strategy to fully leverage SAP’s move to push more business through its partners, the company stated.

David Brookes, chief executive officer, Presence of IT said the company’s strategy is to lead the human capital management (HCM) market in Australia

“With SAP partners now taking more responsibility for software and platform growth, the time is right to look at building a strategy that will put us and our clients in a premium position to take advantage of the structural market changes,” he said.

“These changes will have a significant impact on the HCM industry, particularly in terms of interactions with vendors, service providers, and how clients deliver services within their business. Shane’s appointment is a key part of our ongoing commitment to providing leadership in the HCM industry.”

Presence of IT has welcomed SAP veteran Grobler, who with 17 years SAP experience under his belt joins them from his previous role as chief operating officer of SAP Australia and New Zealand under Tim Ebbeck, the then chief executive officer.

“With the change in leadership at SAP, and given that I had been at SAP for almost 17 years, the time was right for me to look to new career opportunities. The obvious choice was to talk to people within SAP’s ecosystem,” Grobler said.

“Presence of IT is a great business, with a strong culture that is well adapted to take on the challenge of growing through stronger engagement with SAP.”
