Third-party maintenance and support provider for SAP enterprise software, Rimini Street, has appointed “industry veteran” Andrew Powell as managing director, Asia-Pacific.
Powell joined Rimini Street on 8 April and will lead the continued growth and expansion of the company’s operations throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
“There is exceptional demand for the benefits of third-party support in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Powell.
“Just like customers in the rest of the world, Oracle and SAP customers in Asia-Pacific want more value from their annual support program and are seeking to maximise the return on current system investments without having to complete expensive upgrades just to stay supported. Rimini Street’s positive global reputation and dedication to client success are already becoming known in this region and I couldn’t be more excited to help the Asia-Pacific market realise the financial and service benefits of Rimini Street support.”
Powell has 15 years of experience in SAP enterprise software.
He joined Rimini Street from his prior role as general manager – commercial with NTT DATA Business Solutions, where he led a business unit responsible for designing, implementing and supporting SAP solutions for medium and large companies in Australia.
The appointment is part of Rimini Street’s strategic plan to expand investment in all major global markets in the coming years, including a “significant” increase in investment and the expansion of sales operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
“We continue to see strong and growing market demand for Rimini Street support services from enterprise software customers in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Seth Ravin, Rimini Street CEO.
“We are extremely pleased to have Andrew join our team and lead our next phase of investment and growth in Asia-Pacific. Andrew will be instrumental in bringing Rimini Street’s industry leading support program to the thousands of enterprise software licensees who can benefit from premium-level support services with up to 90 percent in total support cost savings over a decade.”
