On the Move: Soltius appoints new CEO

SAP Gold partner Soltius New Zealand has appointed Nick Mulcahy as CEO.

The appointment is an internal promotion, with Mulcahy holding a number of senior leadership roles at Soltius since joining the company in 2003 to lead the newly established VAR practice. He has also been a shareholder and member of the executive team.

Mulcahy began his SAP career at Carter Holt Harvey before moving into consulting, which saw him become one of the country’s top SAP solution architects.

Soltius Board chairman Dr Peter Catt saud Mulcahy is uniquely qualified for the role.

“Nick is a well-recognised through leader in the New Zealand SAP community and has driven the strategic vision for Soltius for the past 10 years. He led the company through the transition from being a pure consulting services company to becoming New Zealand’s most successful SAP Value Added Reseller (VAR), is a highly capable management executive and is a passionate advocate for both Soltius and SAP,” said Catt.

Mulcahy said Soltius is well-placed to take advantage of the wide-ranging transformation underway in the industry.

“Trends such as cloud and mobile technology, and the need to manage and make sense of exponential increases in data are disrupting the traditional enterprise software industry. It’s an exciting time and SAP is at the forefront with its innovations in the cloud, mobility and analytics space,” he said.

He said Soltius invests heavily to stay ahead of these changes, evaluating SAP’s new products for their fit to New Zealand enterprises and establishing dedicated business lines in the areas of strategic importance.

“As the pace of change accelerates, we will continue to expand our SAP offerings and bring the right solutions to the New Zealand market.”
