Banking and insurance group Suncorp has announced Matt Pancino will leave his post as chief information officer at the end of the month.
Pancino only returned to the role of group chief information officer in February this year, after a stint as CEO of Suncorp Business Services. With Suncorp since 2010, he previously also served as head of business technology applications. Prior to joining Suncorp he held senior roles with Perpetual and Telstra.
In his role as CIO, Pancino was responsible for digital enablement, cloud and infrastructure services, programs, and innovation labs.
A statement by Suncorp said Pancino had been “instrumental in delivering Suncorp’s Simplification program and technology projects
across Suncorp’s businesses”.
Suncorp’s chief transformation officer, Clayton Herbert, will act in the role as caretaker until a replacement is appointed.
Pacino will reportedly join the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) later this year in the role of executive general manager of retail and wealth, in its enterprise services division, reporting to CBA group executive, enterprise services, and CIO David Whiteing.
