SAP EAM specialist firm, Vesta Partners, has appointed Peter Stewart as vice president, mining and natural resources.
Stewart joins Vesta from his role as assistant zinc site senior executive, Mount Isa Mines, with Glencore/Xstrata Zinc. Prior to this, he was executive director of the Northern Territory Division of the Minerals Council of Australia, and brings to the role 25 years working in senior leadership roles in the resource industry for Normandy Mining, Newmont Australia, United Equipment and GMC Global, and consulting on business transformation for asset management and logistics.
Stewart said he is excited to be joining Vesta, which has offices in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
“[Vesta] continue to grow the company’s global presence and solidify their position as leaders in the EAM space. Vesta’s decision to expand their mining and natural resources business globally presented an excellent opportunity for us both. I look forward to working with the team to grow the Vesta brand in this space and assisting mining organisations to improve their asset performance,” Stewart said.
Mike Maiolo, CEO of Vesta added, “In addition to his extensive knowledge of the Mining and Natural Resource industry, Peter has direct hands-on experience delivering large complex projects and various business improvement initiatives. He is a great asset to the team.”
