Online recruiter implements customised version of Business ByDesign

Online recruiter StepStone, headquartered in Germany and with a presence in 21 countries, has moved its business onto the cloud-based SAP Business ByDesign solution.

StepStone previously had a formerly fragmented software landscape, which required multiple interactions between departments to progress from advertising an offer to provide services. The company needed stronger and faster connections between all work divisions, and wanted to achieve better data integrity and quality, and reduce administration overhead.

StepStone brings data on vacancies in from social networks, company websites and other channels, so the sales department also required a 360-degree view of the account, with all the necessary sale information available to them.

Before the implementation, StepStone’s software requirements were mapped through the use for SAP Cloud Applications Studio software, and decided on a customised version of a cloud-based business management solution.

According to SAP, StepStone chose SAP Business ByDesign were its ability to deliver rapid integrated analytics and business reporting, as well as the wish to advance the company’s digitisation strategy.

The company has successfully rolled out SAP Business ByDesign in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, and will now prepare further rollouts in Austria, France and South Africa. The solution is hosted in Germany, and supports an unlimited number of users.

With a unified system, StepStone can now contact new and existing customers easier and faster, increased customer satisfaction. StepStone has also been able to implement a multichannel sales strategy. The time-to-market from making an offer to publishing a vacancy was accelerated significantly, with the call agent now able upon order confirmation to provide instant access to the StepStone platform.
