Oxygen promote low risk upgrades

Oxygen is explaining to customers the argument for the low risk upgrade to ECC6.

The provider says many customers are considering making the move to ECC6, motivated by lower support and maintenance costs, flexibility to support new business initiatives, and faster, low-cost access to SAP applications.

Oxygen said their strategic approach with regard to SAP upgrades has been developed and proven over a number of highly successful projects.

According to Oxygen, their approach starts with a technical upgrade at a fixed price completed over a fixed three-month period.

Beginning the SAP upgrade process with a fast, fixed price technical upgrade is the lowest risk, highest value upgrade strategy, Oxygen said.

‘A technical upgrade should be viewed as an investment in future proofing, removing uncertainty and creating a platform from which you can quickly implement new business capabilities, lower your total cost of ownership, and better align IT to your business.’

Oxygen CEO Mike Smith said prior to embarking on any implementation or upgrade Oxygen works to build a business case, and establish the correct parameters and scope for the project.

“We maintain a portfolio of tools and accelerators that allow us to quickly evaluate any potential problems identify risks areas and uncover dependencies – helping to accelerate implementations and reduce cost,” Smith said.
