Plaut initiate growth under new CEO

By Nathan Dukes

With the appointment of new CEO Mark Alder, Plaut intends to initiate a strong new growth strategy.

A veteran within the IT industry, Alder has over 20 years experience in consulting, systems integration, outsourcing and support services, which he will leverage in is new role.

Alder said his first goal is to see Plaut engage more strongly with current partners while developing new partnerships.

Plaut will also expand its current portfolio of solutions and move into new areas of business and technology that are complimentary.

‘This means our clients will be able to access and leverage greater technological know-how, increased support capability, a wider presence across Australia, great thought leadership and improved capability in business partnering,’ Mark said.

‘Greater client intimacy will be the norm as we build on the customer value we have always provided and strengthen our service delivery excellence,’ he continued.

The planned growth will also see the establishment of new Plaut offices nationally and an increase in the talented pool of consultants employed by the company.

Plaut Australia Chairman David Prior said Mark has excelled in a wide variety of senior executive roles.

‘This, together with his passion for the Australian IT industry, makes him the right choice to lead Plaut as it enters a new era of growth,’ he said.

Prior said the alignment of values and principals was also key to Alder’s appointment.

‘Plaut has worked hard to acquire a reputation for integrity and service delivery excellence and Mark strongly supports these core values,’ said David.

Mark, who worked in a senior advisory role in an international specialist IT consulting firm before heading Cisco’s ANZ Services business, said his background will help him take Plaut to the next level.

‘I will use my experience in the sale and delivery of services across Australia and internationally to help grow the business. Plaut has spent the last few years consolidating its business and has a solid customer and financial base. It has performed strongly and is now well positioned to catapult itself into a new era of growth and diversification,’ Alder said.

‘Plaut has always had a philosophy of employing the best people and this will continue. As the business grows and diversifies I intend to make Plaut the best IT company for staff to work in and build their careers,’ he continued.

Former Plaut Managing Director, Scott Reed-Stephenson, has assumed the new role of Chief Financial Officer.
