Praxa, an Australian provider for professional IT services, has been named by SAP as its second partner for distributing Business ByDesign in Australia. Praxa will resell SAP’s on-demand SaaS solution and also provide customers with ongoing service and support.
Launched in September in 2011, SAP Business ByDesign functions as an all-in-one fully integrated online solution, accessible via both web browser and mobile devices. The solution helps manage critical business processes such as financials, customer relationships (CRM), human resources, supply chain and project management.
The partnership will aim to capture the increasing demand for Business ByDesign in the Australian market.
SAP has also announced the first customers in Australia and New Zealand to have taken on the solution since its launch in September 2011.
They include:
• Packing, paper and recycling company Visy
• Management consulting firm Futureye
• Security, audit and compliance specialist Dragonfly
• Personal care product manufacturer and supplier QVS
• IT services consultancy firms Soltius and Tango.
Greg Harbor, vice president, On-Demand Solutions at SAP said that he has been “extremely buoyed by the market response to SAP Business ByDesign”.
“Not only has the market demand been strong, the customer response to the actual delivery and execution of the solutions has been outstanding,” he added.
“This success creates a foundation on which we can accelerate market penetration of a much broader portfolio of line-of-business specific cloud solutions.”
Before becoming an SAP partner, Praxa decided that they would use the Business ByDesign solution to manage their own business processes. It took Praxa only nine days to fully implement the Business ByDesign CRM module across their sales and marketing teams in Sydney and Melbourne, and they were impressed by the results.
“Our Business ByDesign journey started in 2011, when we decided that there is no better way to become a partner than implementing the on-demand solution ourselves,” Jim Aivaliotis, general manager, Praxa, said. “We now use SAP Business ByDesign day-in, day-out and reap the benefits for the business.”
Aivaliotis also believes that adding Business ByDesign solutions to Praxa’s services will enhance its offering to its customers.
“Our drive has always been to provide the best solutions and highest service levels to our customers – SAP Business ByDesign does just that,” Aivaliotis said. “It has already delivered cost efficiencies and improved responsiveness for Praxa which we can now pass onto our customers.”
