RSC release Rev-Trac 6.0

By Nathan Dukes

SAP software partner Revelation Software Concepts (RSC) last week released Rev-Trac 6.0, a new version of their flagship SAP change control technology.

Rev-Trac 6.0 has been SAP-certified as an ABAP add-on for use with SAP NetWeaver 7.0.

The software is a change request and transport management solution for enterprise systems running SAP systems.

David Drake, CEO and CTO of Revelation Software Concepts, said the software has been designed to meet requirements of several application lifecycle management products.

“The architecture of Rev-Trac 6 will facilitate integration with the wide range of increasingly integrated ALM solutions now appearing on the market, making it the natural nerve center for managing change processes throughout RSC customer systems,” he said.

“As a third-party ChaRM equivalent integrated tool set to record, track and report changes in SAP solutions, Rev-Trac 6 can also help SAP customers meet advanced Customer Center of Expertise certification requirements while reducing Customer COE costs in the process,” David continued.

Pharmaceutical and healthcare company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), said Rev-Trac 6 can now become an important factor in their future SAP-related system changes and transport management strategies.

Jonathan Bunker, validation leader of Global Computer Validation at GlaxoSmithKline, said regulatory compliance is crucially important to the company.

“Rev-Trac has proven compliant with our company policy for computerised system validation,” he said.

“Our policy has been designed to meet external regulatory requirements for Computer Validation and Electronic Records and Signatures.”

RSC said in a press statement the extended change and transport control capabilities of Rev-Trac 6.0 demonstrate their commitment to continual product development and reduction of TCO of SAP solution-based systems.

The new version is built to exacting RSC development requirements based on the U.S. FDA Quality System Regulation 21 CFR11 and PIC/S Annex 11 to meet Computer Systems Validation and Quality System compliance for software development.
