SAP and Accenture, for many years now, have been working together in creating solutions to improve operational efficiencies in the oil and gas industry like the ‘Upstream Production Operations by Accenture and SAP’, which consists of solutions, services, and training for energy companies’ production operations launched back in 2014.
In a recent SAP and Accenture venture, the strategic partners co-innovated a solution that leverages SAP S/4HANA Cloud to further support the upstream oil and gas enterprises by streamlining processes and costs.
The SAP S/4HANA Cloud solution utilises intelligent technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to give clients increased visibility on operations and cash flow. Through the collective effort of exploration and production companies namely BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Equinor and Shell, SAP and Accenture were able to define market-standard end-to-end processes that are preconfigured within the solution.
