SAP AG has signed a global reseller agreement with Cisco, through which it will offer its customers the SAP IT Process Automation application by Cisco. The automation software offers increased efficiency, visibility and control of IT operational processes.
Flint Brenton, senior vice president, intelligent automation solutions, Cisco, said, “Automation will increasingly become the major contributor to efficiency, cost-containment and risk-mitigation in the new dynamic data centre models.”
“As leaders in IT, it is important that we help the market as it undergoes this transformation from traditional to more dynamic, virtualised and cloud-based models. Through this agreement, we are helping to not only meet the demands for IT process automation but are doing so rapidly to address customer needs,” he said.
Through the agreement, SAP and Cisco will collaborate to deliver solutions that leverage the SAP Solution Manager application management solution and Run SAP methodology.
Stephen Spears, senior vice president, application lifestyle management software, SAP, said the agreement will enable SAP to help customers further enhance their operation of heterogeneous SAP solutions.
“This agreement between SAP and Cisco will further heighten the value and increase the adoption of SAP Solution Manager as the central platform for managing SAP solutions within SAP Enterprise Support services.”
