At the recent SuccessConnect event in Las Vegas, SAP revealed two new additions to the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite, designed to improve workforce productivity.
A new digital assistant for SAP SuccessFactors solutions is currently being trialled in beta by a group of customers. The assistant uses the SAP coPilot Web application bot framework and SAP Leonardo Machine Learning capabilities to guide users and recommend actions based on verbal or written questions or commands. Able to be used on the desktop and mobile devices, the application also integrates with collaboration platforms such as Slack and Microsoft Teams.
According to SAP, the digital assistant goes beyond simply engaging the workforce to improve HR service delivery, by, for example, providing answers more quickly to questions by new hires, enable managers to award spot bonuses and more quickly enter time worked.

By bridging the gap between how employees engage with technology at home and how they leverage technology to get things done at work, our new digital assistant makes interacting with HR easy, timely and productive.”
SAP is also releasing a new Android app, redesigned in partnership with Google, which will leverage native Android interaction patterns and allow users to more easily engage with activities such as continuous performance management, key learning activities, and even simple people-related tasks such as time entry.
