SAP moves ANZ contact centres to the cloud

By Anne Widjaja

SAP AG today announced a new partnership with Global Speech Networks (GSN), a cloud contact centre provider in Australia and New Zealand.

GSN provides on-demand, cloud hosted contact centre solutions integrated with Interactive Voice Response, speech recognition, workforce management and call recording technologies, allowing customers to shift away from making expensive on-premise contact centre investments.

Under the partnership, GSN will now offer SAP Business Communications Management (SAP BCM) in the cloud to ANZ companies.

SAP BCM uses software-based IP telephony solution that can help companies improve their contact centre operations.

According to SAP, the partnership shows SAP’s commitment to expanding their cloud strategy and providing users with best of breed contact centre solutions.

Greg Harbor, vice president of on-demand solutions, SAP ANZ said, “SAP BCM was originally designed to fit on-demand purposes with the first of these customers going live in 2000.”

The new partnership will now help SAP customers to “efficiently and flexibly manage their contact centres and customer service functions,” he said.

Shane Verner, sales and marketing director, GSN, said that SAP and GSN share a vision for flexibility, scalability and cost predictability.

“Cloud is undeniably the way of the future, and working with SAP to offer contact centre in the cloud is a perfect fit for us and a great opportunity for existing SAP users,” Verner added.
