SAP SE is now providing support for iOS 8, including the recently-launched iPhone 6, with the latest versions of SAP Mobile Platform, SAP Mobile Secure portfolio and mobile apps from SAP.
“Most enterprises need to support multiple OSs, particularly in a BYOD [Build Your Own Device] environment. Our customers can protect and manage their data, apps, devices and users on all mobile platforms,” said Rick Costanzo, executive vice president and general manager of Global Mobility Solutions, SAP.
“From iPhone 6 to Android to Win8, enterprises implementing the complete mobility solution from SAP can future-proof their mobile investment with comprehensive and open app development and management platform in the industry.”
SAP’s Mobile Platform allows companies to build, deploy and manage apps for their partners, workers and customers. The new harmonized API is available to consume online and offline data, and will be compatible with Swift programming language for developing mobile applications.
According to SAP, some of the newer features in iOS8 can benefit SAP customers looking to looking to adopt corporate security requirements such as single sign-on, per-app VPN and app configuration.
