SAP has announced at SAPPHIRE NOW and SAP TechEd that its NetWeaver Process Orchestration and NetWeaver Gateway technology are generally available, following previews earlier this year.
According to SAP, these solutions demonstrate the company’s vision to enable customers’ substantial innovations without disruption, by broadening the scope of what customers and partners can do with SAP software.
SAP NetWeaver Process Orchestration is designed to manage the entire business process life cycle, with new functionalities such as SAP NetWeaver Business Process Management, Process Integration and Business Rules Management bundled together for the first time. Meanwhile SAP NetWeaver Gateway technology provides open access to SAP applications from any environment or device, and is designed to support a broad range of user and developer requirements.
Bjoern Goerke, senior vice president, technology and innovation platform core, SAP, said, “In all aspects of the SAP NetWeaver technology platform, we are bringing interoperability and coherence to how things work together, even as we deliver breakthrough innovations across the platform.”
SAP has made a pre-packaged trial version of SAP NetWeaver Gateway available for free download via the SAP Community Network.
