The SAP Australian User Group (SAUG) stepped up its involvement in SAP’s official Influencing programs – Customer Connection (CC) and the Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI) – during 2014.
Over the course of the year, SAUG members participated in five CC projects, including CRM, Quality Management, NetWeaver, HCM OM/PA and PLM PPM to suggest a total of 60 improvements to current SAP products.
As a result, four improvements have already been made available through SAP Notes or Support Packages, with six others currently in development and expected to be shipped via SAP Notes and Support Packages within the next months. Others are reportedly in evaluation by SAP.
The usage of CC improvements in Australia has increased by 50 per cent during 2014, from 998 related SAP Note downloads in January 2014 to 1493 in December.
SAUG members also got involved in five CEI projects to influence SAP’s future products.
During 2015, the SAUG plans to make it easier for members to influence SAP products, by reworking the Influence section of the SAUG website to provide more information on how to get involved, and working with its Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to leverage these communities to collect and consolidate pain points, and feed them back to SAP.
