Enterprise mobile threat protection provider Zimperium has announced a new integration with SAP Fiori to allow customers to develop and deploy “self-protecting” mobile apps.

“As the industry evolves and threat vectors increases, mobile application security continues to be an ongoing concern for SAP customers,” said Senthil Krishnapillai, VP of development, digital experience services, SAP. “SAP is pleased to be able to help customers build SAP Fiori mobile apps that address the threats that specifically affect mobile devices – through a simple cloud-based integration with Zimperium.”

Via an integration with SAP HANA Cloud Platform, mobile services for SAP Fiori, Zimperium’s ZIAP Mobile Threat Protection solution can be embedded in custom hybrid SAP Fiori mobile apps. It is available as a plug-in during the SAP Fiori mobile app build process, and offers threat detection, user alerts with remediation and report forensics, for both iOS and Android mobile apps.

“Cybercriminals are increasingly turning their attention to mobile devices to get access to a company’s sensitive data,” said Sridhar Mittal, CEO, Imperium. “Mobile applications that access data from system back-ends now benefit from early visibility into these attacks, allowing for remedial actions before major damage is done. The Zimperium zIAP solution was built to make it really easy for apps to become self-protecting.”

Headquartered in San Francisco,  Zimperium is backed by investors including Telstra, Samsung, Warburg Pincus, and Sierra Ventures.
