Australian SAP Services partner BPSE Consulting has acquired Agile Business Technology, a South African-based consultancy specialising in user experience solutions and rapid application development.
The acquisition will enable BPSE, which specialises in supply chain management (SCM) and application lifecycle management (ALM), to provide innovative user experience (UX) and applications solutions that show a high level of empathy for customer needs.
The new entity, which will be known as BPSE Consulting Africa, will engage in consulting and development locally and internationally.
On the acquisition, Alandré van Vuuren, founder and CEO of BPSE Consulting, said, “Agile has developed a set of core user experience competencies and rapid application development skills which are critical in delivering consumer grade digital experiences on top of an SAP foundation. We viewed this as a natural extension of our SAP consulting skill set and an opportunity to offer our global customers access to high calibre talent and innovative technology services.”
Warren Eiserman, director, Agile Business Technology, says the South African operation will have a renewed focus on Fiori, HANA Cloud Portal and HANA XS.
“We can now scale our services and provide cost-effective delivery from South Africa, and are actively recruiting engineering and design graduates to develop careers in SAP,” Eiserman said.
BPSE established a presence in South Africa in October 2014. The acquisition also aligns with the vision to provide international customers with high calibre services for at a lower cost, focusing on remote application design, delivery and support.
Agile has delivered turnkey web and mobile applications to customers including Deloitte, Mendix and Barnstone.
