Enterprise mobility company Kony has launched a new business mobile app marketplace, with the company and its ecosystem of partners offering ‘ready to run’ applications, reusable components and design templates.
Burley Kawasaki, senior vice president, products, Kony, said experts are predicting dramatically increased demand for mobile apps within enterprises over the next few years.
“To meet this demand, enterprises are looking for ways to empower their businesses to rapidly deliver secure, enterprise-level mobile apps with great user experiences. Our goal is to provide a rich collection of pre-built apps and app models through the Kony Marketplace, which they can use to quickly build their mobile apps,” Kawaski said.
Partners offering their solutions through the Kony Marketplace include Broadstrokes, Factual, infoStretch, Knack, PopcornApps, Quinscape, Redora, Softechnologies, Splyt, Stefanini, UST Global, VeraSynth and ZineOne.
SAP consulting firm Knack Systems managing director client services and CIO advisory, George Kaadi, said the company is pleased to be partnering with Kony to bring enterprise mobility solutions to customers.
“Organisations currently using SAP solutions will be able to quickly empower their mobile workforce by leveraging Kony’s flexible mobile platform and solutions fully integrated with their SAP ERP and CRM solutions,” Kaadi said.
The new mobile app marketplace was announced at Kony World 2015 in Orlando, which was also the forum for the announcement of the release of the company’s first “ready to run” Kony Sales app suite, a mobile productivity extension app for SAP and Salesforce.
According to Kony, the app enables sales reps to improve productivity; manage tasks and follow-ups; accelerate pipeline activity; manage leads, accounts, opportunities and contacts; and work offline to capture information while travelling and sync to back-end systems once they return to the office.
The Koney Sales app suite, which is built on top of Kony’s Mobility Platform and composed with Kony Modeler, is optimized for iOS and Android phones and tablets, and can be extended, configured, and customized by business analysts and sales operations personnel.
