For companies looking for an enterprise grade alternative for Dropbox, Open Text has now released Tempo Box, a file sync and share solution that is fully managed and completely secure.
Customers can access to Tempo Box as part of the SAP Extended Enterprise Content Management by OpenText solution, when they have version 10.5 installed or SAP Document Access by OpenText.
Available for customers from July 2014, Tempo Box allows business content to be shared across PC and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets while keeping it secure, as well as enabling users to collaborate internally on SAP BusinessObjects business intelligence solution content.
“A top priority for CIOs is to address content fragmentation and the lack of governance of ungoverned file sharing,” said Rodolpho Cardenuto, president, Global Partner Operations, SAP.
“Expanding SAP Extended ECM with OpenText Tempo Box will augment core capabilities that are aimed at opening content management to millions of users to help simplify the content management experience.”
SAP and Open Text are also expanding their integrated solutions by offering SAP Archiving by OpenText will now run on the SAP HANA platform, including support for SAP HANA Enteprise Cloud service deployments.
The companies current have 4200 on-premise SAP Archiving by OpenText customers, and this will allow them to access the same solution via the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud. According to Open Text, using HANA customers will be able to access historical data within the organisations’ ECM system instantly, manage digital assets with a single point of management and workflow integration, and conduct archiving and retrieval of content with far greater speed.
