In response to the increased demand for SAP business intelligence (BI) design and implementation services, the team from local SAP provider Logro has joined Deloitte Consulting.
Logro’s expertise in the SAP BI arena ranges from developing BI strategies and designing information architectures for managerial decision-making, to implementing SAP-based reporting and data warehouse solutions.
The team joining Deloitte comprises five full-time people and three casual project contractors.
Although SAP is already a strategic provider of enterprise solutions to many Deloitte clients, Deloitte is adding this new capability to respond to increased demand, according to Adam Powick, managing partner, Deloitte Consulting.
“The addition of the Logro team will serve to further strengthen our capability to service these needs. This transaction supports the strong growth of the Deloitte Australia technology practice which now consists of over 800 specialists and continues to grow rapidly to meet very strong market demand,” said Powick.
Additionally, in response to the rise of new technologies in cloud computing, analytics and mobility, Deloitte’s partnership with Logro will also aim to innovate beyond traditional enterprise platforms, expanding its technology offerings to clients.
Robert Hillard, technology lead partner, Deloitte, said the new partnership is part of Deloitte’s push to expand its capabilities in enterprise applications and business reporting.
“Our clients now expect their solutions to be integrated with their business processes and decision making, rather than be an afterthought,” he said.
“[Logro] will complement our end-to-end service offering in the business intelligence domain with an emphasis on strategy, architecture and implementation work. This further enhances our ability to deliver a differentiated implementation service.”
Links Chithiray, managing partner, Logro, is also excited about the new opportunities in the market that will come with the partnership.
“With the maturing of the market in this space, our client’s expectations are geared towards larger firms. My team are looking forward to combining our expertise and experience with Deloitte to create Australia’s most eminent and successful enterprise information management consulting practice.”
