Queensland University of Technology (QUT) has partnered with Fujitsu Australia to develop and offer an undergraduate subject on Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
The course, which will be offered to final year students in Business and IT degrees, has been developed in response to market demand for a focus on this area.
Darshana Sedera, Associate Professor, Faculty of Science and Engineering at Queensland University of Technology, who led this initiative for QUT, said: “This practical subject has been jointly designed by experts from Fujitsu and QUT so that our students graduate with the latest skills to help them forge careers in this rapidly growing, technology-driven business area.”
Fujitsu Australia is also offering 10 merit-based scholarships to undergraduates studying the new CRM course at QUT.
Les Davey, vice president of business and application services at Fujitsu Australia, said: “Fujitsu is proud to partner with QUT in support of the University’s drive to provide industry-relevant skillsets to its students. We are seeing strong demand for CRM systems knowledge from various sectors across Australia, including many significant government projects. Students who successfully complete the course will be highly employable as we anticipate substantial increases in roles such as CRM business consultants and analysts.”
