Arneg Oceania, a leading Australian commercial refrigeration company, has chosen to implement SAP BusinessOne with Sapphire to streamline its processes and manage its rapid growth.
Roberto Trinchero, managing director of Arneg Oceania, said sustaining that growth with their existing systems has been difficult because they are too basic and not robust enough to cope with the various business changes.
“We are currently dealing with two systems and it takes a lot of time and effort to access our critical business information. We want to make informed decisions in real-time and know these can be carried out with streamlined business processes, so looking at an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system was the natural next step for us,” he said.
Trinchero and his team shortlisted six ERP systems including Pronto and Microsoft Dynamics Nav, however they liked what they saw with SAP BusinessOne.
“Sapphire presented the solution well and we could see that it met all our requirements, such as getting information at a glance, obtaining real-time reports and its landed costing functionality,” he said.
“They had done their research and it showed. We were happy to choose them for the implementation and on-going support.”
The management team was initially hesitant in choosing SAP because while we had heard good things about the software and were keen to work with the system, they thought it was difficult to use and only for big companies.
“Having Paul Rowan (Sapphire’s Sydney-based sales director) and the Sapphire team demonstrate the lighter SAP BusinessOne was definitely an eye-opener for us,” said Trinchero.
Sapphire’s Sydney team is looking forward to working with Arneg Oceania and helping the company manage their exponential growth.
