Capgemini, NextLabs sign global VAR agreements with SAP

Consulting, technology and outsourcing giant Capgemini has extended its relationship with SAP through a global value-added reseller agreement.

The agreement allows Capgemini to resell SAP solutions to customers of any size – from small and mid-size businesses up to the largest enterprises – around the world, including Capgemini’s Path solutions, which are SAP Business All-in-One partner solutions pre-built and pre-configured for eight industries.

Jerry Lacasia, global partner executive, Capgemini, said: “We are delighted to have signed this global agreement with SAP, which aims to help customers reduce complexity, save time and money, and accelerate the implementation of SAP solutions. This expansion in our relationship with SAP, allows Capgemini to act as a complete solution provider, delivering for example our integrated OnePath offering to our clients anywhere in the world.”

The agreement follows information risk management software specialist NextLabs signing a global reseller agreement with SAP, which will see SAP resell NextLabs solutions to extend SAP solutions for governance risk and compliance and the SAP Global Trade Services application with attribute-based dynamic authorisation and technical data export compliance.

With analyst firms such as Gartner and Kuppinger Cole expecting a significant rise in the adoption of Attribute Based Access Controls (ABAC) of up to 70 per cent over the next several years, NextLabs solutions integrate these features directly into SAP applications.

Keng Lim, CEO of NextLabs, said the company is excited to introduce SAP customers to the benefits of dynamic authorisation and data entitlement solutions.

“NextLabs brings valuable expertise in working with some of the largest global enterprises to secure their critical information assets with an innovative, attribute-based policy system using dynamic authorisation and advanced data protection technology. These solutions have enabled our customers to secure information needed for global collaboration, accelerate global ERP consolidation, and achieve compliance with export control and other data sharing regulations,” Lim said.

SAP Dynamic Authorisation Management works with the SAP Access Control application to enable customers to manage business authorisations, while SAP Technical Data Export Compliance works with SAP GTS to manage the export of technical data. Both are now available from SAP.

Kevin McCollom, global vice president and general manager, governance, risk and compliance solution portfolio, SAP, said the NextLabs solutions will allow “SAP customers to more flexibly, rapidly and cost-effectively secure their mission-critical information assets”.

SAP’s global VAR program has specific entry requirements that include global reach, reseller capabilities and revenue targets.
