DXC Technology has launched an extension to its DXC Platform as a Service (PaaS) for SAP solutions, specifically designed to help customers seeking to cost-effectively transition to Amazon Web Services (AWS).

DXC PaaS for SAP solutions for AWS provides clients with the full technology stack in a consumption-based delivery model, which the company says will enable up to 35 per cent operational cost savings. As well as supporting enterprises when they are transitioning databases including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ASE and SQL Server, the solution allows for adjustments to SAP solutions as business needs change.

The solution provides operations security and automation for production, development and quality assurance landscapes. According to DXC, its process automation, optimised for SAP solution landscapes, reduces provisioning time to hours, and clients have a single point of accountability for management of their stack. Transition processes use SAP best practices and tools, run by certified SAP specialists.

“As the leading hybrid IT services company, clients look for DXC to bring together the power of industry leaders for synergies to enable their business outcomes,” said Eugene O’Callaghan, senior vice president and general manager, cloud and platform services, DXC Technology.

“That’s exactly what DXC PaaS for SAP solutions on AWS providers – it brings the value of industry-leading enterprise software on a major on-demand cloud computing platform, along with DXC PaaS automation, best practices and experience gained from delivering thousands of SAP solution deployments.”
