Kronos Workforce Dimensions offers next-generation, workforce technology that automates critical workforce processes like timekeeping, scheduling, and leave management.

Amidst the COVID-19 restrictions and lockdown measures, New South Wales-based energy company Endeavour Energy has officially completed the second phase of its multi-year digital transformation in partnership with Deloitte and Syniti. Done remotely, the project implemented SAP SuccessFactors and Kronos Workforce Dimensions to drive organisational productivity and performance as well as empower both the distribution network operator’s people and clients.

Andrew Pitman, Endeavour Energy’s General Manager, Employee Experience shared his insights about the successful implementation despite the challenges. He said:

“It was a huge achievement for the team to complete phase two on time, despite the restrictions caused by the pandemic. SAP SuccessFactors and Kronos Workforce Dimensions will simplify the systems our people use and improve mobile access, helping teams save time and enabling them to complete key tasks on the move. It will also enable greater visibility and data capture, so we can analyse and optimise key processes. We expect to see further benefits as our change management process continues with more staff adoption and training.”

Future-Proofing with SAP

Endeavour Energy launched its multi-year digital transformation journey in 2018 in collaboration with SAP to modernise its dated infrastructure– critical in achieving its goal of becoming one of Australia’s best-performing networks. In 2020, Endeavour Energy implemented SAP Concur, SAP Enable Now, SAP Solution Manager, and Click Work Scheduling.

Damien Bueno, President and Managing Director, SAP ANZ said:

“This partnership demonstrates how intelligent cloud-based platforms can enable businesses to quickly reap the benefits of improved productivity, operational efficiencies, and automation.

This year has underlined the essential role of technology to keep staff connected, engaged, and productive. The implementation will not only deliver enhanced operational processes but will also support Endeavour’s ambitious goals of becoming the best-performing distributor by 2024. By taking steps now to lay the foundations for success, Endeavour will future-proof its business and redefine how it can engage and delight its customers.”

In recent years, SAP has established its position as a reliable technology partner in the power distribution space in Australia. The software giant has also supported the digital transformation of AGL Energy in its “Extreme SAP” project. The modernisation project has been proven to be an extremely valuable investment providing AGL Energy a robust infrastructure and connected networks, especially during the pandemic.

Kronos Workforce Dimensions Integration

The successful second phase completion has been made possible with the help of global consulting firm Deloitte and SAP data migration partner Syniti implementing Kronos Workforce Dimensions and SAP SuccessFactors.

Kronos Workforce Dimensions offers workforce management tools– from timekeeping to scheduling, mobile to AI-driven insights, and many more– to help create meaningful and connected work experiences. It is the only cloud-native, mobile-first, artificial intelligence-powered global workforce management solution in the market. With capabilities that directly integrate into SAP SuccessFactors, Kronos Workforce Dimensions enables existing workflows automation, increases operational transparency, and enhances decision-making.

“The success of this remote implementation during the pandemic is a testament to the commitment of Endeavour Energy and their team, and the data migration partners, Syniti. The employee central, recruitment, onboarding, and payroll modules from SAP SuccessFactors along with Kronos Workforce Dimensions are already delivering benefits for staff by streamlining processes and automating workflows. We will continue to work in close partnership with Endeavour and to deliver on their future roadmap to drive better experiences for staff and customers,” said Audrey Hiley, Project Manager at Deloitte Australia.

What’s Next?

The third phase of Endeavour Energy’s multi-year modernisation project will be completed late this year. According to Pitman, they will soon adopt SAP S/4HANA to bring improvement across more teams in the aspects of asset management processes, financial systems, enterprise resource planning, procurement, purchasing, logistics, and safety.

“The capabilities provided by these systems will help to future-proof the business by enabling our people to rethink and redesign existing processes in ways that enhance the experience of both employees and our customers,” he stressed.

Pitman highlighted that the company is centering on improving its customer service through predictive tools and analytics powered by artificial intelligence. For its people, these technologies will enable them to proact and utilise data in delivering a better customer experience. For customers, this data-driven approach means fewer paper-based forms, additional self-service capabilities, access through mobile devices, and greater access to information.

He also said that Endeavour Energy is also looking into platforms that improve health and safety reporting to help its people learn from and prevent safety incidents.

Kronos Workforce Dimensions is now known as UKG Dimensions™ following the rebranding of Ultimate Software and Kronos Incorporated to UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) in October 2020.
