Forrester Research, Inc. has identified SAP as a leader in comprehensive integration solutions in its new report, ‘The Forrester Wave: Comprehensive Integration Solutions, Q4 2010’.
The independent research firm evaluated SAP’s NetWeaver technology platform 7.1 alongside 14 other comprehensive integration solutions using 137 different criteria categorised by current offering, strategy and market presence.
Across these categories, SAP was awarded perfect scores in monitoring, security, service-oriented architecture, strategic alliances, messaging, lifecycle management, advanced business-to-business support and delivery footprint.
The report found that Oracle, IBM, TIBCO Software, and Software AG had the best overall combination of architecture, integration server, application development, business process management and business-to-business support features, but identified SAP, Progress Software, Vitria, Axway, Microsoft, and SEEBURGER as leaders based on the overall strength of their integration solutions.
According to the report, “SAP provides a robust tool set to enable these commonly supported endpoint capabilities. Built-in load balancing is natively supported as part of app server capability. SOA service management is done via SAP Solution Manager that provides integration to all local monitoring plus application monitoring in one view.”
It also states that “SAP NetWeaver BPM provides sophisticated process reporting capabilities on process execution data to monitor the overall execution”.
