Infosys and Wipro achieved the Leader rank in all the five quadrants of the ISG Provider Lens report, helping organizations accelerate their sustainability goals by leveraging SAP solutions.
Leading global technology research and advisory firm ISG (Information Services Group) has recently released the 2022 ISG Provider Lens™ SAP Ecosystem report for the U.S. market, which evaluated the capabilities of 40 providers that offer a comprehensive range of SAP solutions and services, including managed application services and SAP Business Technology Platform solutions, across five quadrants.
The report revealed that organizations in the U.S. are tackling the pressing shortage in sustainability skills critical to achieving their goals by partnering with service providers from the SAP ecosystem. Specifically, customers select SAP partners that have expertise in delivering SAP solutions for sustainability, one of today’s high-demand segments.
Commenting on the latest report, Bill Huber, ISG partner, Digital Platforms and Solutions, said:
“Sustainability has become a major focus for both providers and enterprises in the SAP ecosystem. It is a key requirement for enterprise operations and service provider offerings.”
2022 ISG Provider Lens SAP Ecosystem Highlights
The ISG Provider Lens Quadrant research series provides a unique evaluation of service providers leveraging a combination of empirical, data-driven research and market analysis with the real-world experience of the global advisory team of ISG. The report provides IT decision-makers significant information about an SAP partner’s strengths and weaknesses, market positioning by segments, and perspective on different markets. Earlier announced in March, comprehensive ISG Provider Lens SAP Ecosystem – 2022 series covered different markets spanning Brazil, France, Germany, the Nordics, the U.K., and the U.S.
In this SAP Ecosystem report focused on the U.S. market, the 40 SAP partners were assessed against five quadrants:
- SAP S/4HANA System Transformation — Large Accounts
- SAP S/4HANA System Transformation — Midmarket
- Managed Application Services for SAP ERP
- Managed Platform and Cloud Services for SAP
- SAP Business Technology Platform
Leading the group in all five quadrants are SAP partners Infosys and Wipro, followed by Accenture, Capgemini, HCL, and TCS as Leaders in four quadrants each. Cognizant and IBM achieved the Leader rank in three quadrants, Tech Mahindra in two quadrants, and Atos, Birlasoft, Deloitte, DXC Technology, Hexaware, Kyndryl, Mindtree, and NTT DATA all shared the same Leadership spot in one quadrant each.
The study also reported companies that show a “promising portfolio” and “high future potential” by ISG’s definition– are recognized as Rising Stars. Atos and Tech Mahindra are tagged as Rising Stars in two quadrants each while Hexaware, LTI, Navisite, and UST are named as Rising Stars in one quadrant each.
Sustainability Talent Challenge in the U.S.
ISG reported that the U.S. market is still behind Europe in terms of shortage of sustainability talent, which focus has recently pivoted toward decarbonization. The study suggests that global SAP service providers look into the European experience and case studies to be able to further support U.S. firms in this crucial challenge.
Furthermore, the report also revealed that the expansion of IoT to support environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives is perceived to be the next big innovation that would increase demand for SAP solutions. With sustainability embedded in many organizations’ playbooks, SAP partners have also been strengthening collaborative efforts with the German software enterprise to develop sustainability solutions such as carbon footprint analysis, supply-chain track-and-trace capabilities, and route optimization.
In terms of cloud adoption, another sustainable solution, the US market has increased its use of SAP applications such as SAP S/4HANA, to support its aggressive digitalization strategy. ISG reported that SAP S/4HANA adoption in the US has increased from last year among both large and midsize companies.
On the service providers leveraging SAP S/4HANA , Jan Erik Aase, partner and global leader, ISG Provider Lens Research, stated:
“Service providers are helping to make S/4HANA implementations possible. They are especially focused on delivering bundled software and services to smaller companies through the RISE With SAP program.”
